Kuranda Dog Bed

Kuranda Dog Beds are one of the best on the market for dogs that have arthritis. Here’s my experience with them and some information for you.

Since we found that our eight year old Labrador has arthritis in his shoulder, I’ve been looking at ways to make him more comfortable in his senior years and one of the things I’m going to change is his bed.  At the moment, he has a standard plastic bed with a blanket on the bottom which is kept by the boiler in the utility room.  However, I’ve started to realise that this can’t be very comfortable for his old bones, so I’m determined to give him some comfort.  There are so many dog beds available on the market that the choice can be bewildering.  However, a thorough internet search has led me to the website of a company called Kuranda.

First and foremost, I found their website to be extremely logical and easy to navigate.  You can see right away that the Kuranda dog bed is a quality product.  Available in wood or aluminium, the wooden version would not be out of place in the house and the aluminium model is also suitable outside in the dog kennel.  Both versions are easy to keep clean, light, yet sturdy enough to take the weight of an overweight Labrador like Woody.  It is available in all sizes, from toy through to extra, extra large and has thoughtful finishes, such as washable covers and non-chew edges to the frame.  It even has a one-year guarantee, and all the parts are replaceable.  They also have an extremely sturdy poly-resin bed, but this is more suitable for boarding kennels.

I shall be ordering my Kuranda dog bed today and I can’t wait to see the appreciation in Woody’s eyes when he finally has a comfortable place to rest.  In the unlikely event that Woody doesn’t take to his new bed, Kuranda will even take it back within 30 days, provided it has no scuffs on the frame, although they do have to make a small charge to replace the fabric, since this can’t be re-used.  Sounds fair enough to me!
